quick like a bunny

Just thought I would give a little update. This past weekend Jonathan came out for a vist and though I has call on Saturday and some of Sunday it was a nice little change of pace. He got the bus on Friday and took the bus back on Tuesday. Dad did something very nice he called the guy he knows that owns DRL and got Jonathan a pass for the trip, both ways. I couldn't believe that dad would do that and it was all his idea. Monday was a nice day I did nothing all day just curled up with Jonathan and watched movies. I needed something like that. I have been so busy with school that its crazy I dont know where you guys aren't in school but this semester has seemed so short, its crazy.

We are gearing up for the last 2 shows for the year and they are looking good. Where we are doing Shakepeare we would offer school shows, I am looking forward to them as I have never done a show like that before.

It is looking that I may come home on the 6th of December so that means that I would be home for a month! I will let you know for sure when I know.

Wow post 100

Hello all
So I know it is like I dropped off the face of the earth but see I am still alive. It is just that I have been so freaking busy that it is not fun. Starting last Monday, on Saturday I thought that I was getting a cold sore so I brought some cold sore lip stuff and start to use it. By Saturday afternoon/night I was beginining to get a rash on my face. Okay I thought maybe this is what a cold sore does, as I have never had one. By Sunday morning it had spead a little more. So when I was talking to mom on Monday night we thought it would be best that instead of waiting for the clinic on campus which is on Fridays that it would be best to go to the ER. Guess what I had an infection! Anyways on penclin I go and had a face cream to use, not to bad I guess but I had to be careful as this thing spreads like pink eye. In that if I touched my face and then touched soemthing and then you touch it and then your face....you get the idea. Up side it is gone now and it didnt leave any marks.
This weekend was tech weekend, got to love 13 hour days in the theatre with a hour for supper. Anyways it went smoothly and the show is looking awesome. I am up in the grid for this show and only have two cues. One right at the top of show and one at the end of show. So I can sit/lie on the grid and watch the show. Also I can sneak down if I want to.
The shows this year are selling really well, I know that both school shows for Romeo and Juilet and Midsummer's night dream are sold out. I think a night for each are sold and I think a night of Dangerous. We might even make something on the shows this year.
Well thats it for now I will try to update the weekend.

Midterm break....really?

This weekend was supposed to be the midterm break. Yeah I didnt get much of one, I did get home for the weekend but I was super busy. I had to come in on Saturday as I had classes all afternoon so instead of leaving at 5:20 I waited to Saturday so that meant that I only had Sunday to do shopping and the like as the stores were closed on Monday.
So my day started at 5:30 as I had to drive mom in to dailysis in the morning, when I picked her up we didnt stop. We went down to SportChek to see about skis (going to wait a bit and buy out here) then mmom needed to do some shopping. Then we went to Costco and the mall. At the mall I needed to get my nails taken off (the gel colour) so I brought mom to a store she likes and she did some shoping by herself and then went to Second Cup and got a coffee and a tea bun. I think it is the first time my mom did that in about 5 years.
Monday we spent the day on the computer, she got a program that allows you to magnify the text on the screen.
I went out for coffee then with Jonathan and Molly and her bf Mark. Lis and Meg couldn't make it. I missed you but we did have a pretty good time together.
School is going good, it seems that I am on top of all my assignments and I am looking for to my production assignments. We are getting ready to open the first show on Halloween night.
I got my final exam schedule and my one and only exam is on the 5 of December, I dont know if I am going to leave after that or if I am going to stay out here and work, decisions decisions....

Musings before class

I know I haven't posted in a while but you know what I am like in the summer. I am seeing all of you on a regular basis so I just talk to you instead of blogging because I am just going to end up telling you what I say hear often before you read it.
As you know I am back out in Corner Brook, it is hard to believe that I am in my third year, its fun but also a little scary when I think that I am almost done. So far school has been what I have expected with the work load. Classes are in full swing none of this its the first week back so lets take it easy stuff, we jump right in with assignments and lectures.
The show assignments have been handed out and I am super excited about mine this semester for the first show I am on the props build and then when the show is running I am moving to the grid which I am super excited for as I get to be up in the grid and get to make it snow and stuff like that.
For the second show I am lighting op which means that I am runing the lights. Because of that I am lighting change over for the third show.
In other news I am still waiting on dad to come with the rest of my stuff, he was supposed to be hear today at 1:30 but he didn't show up surprise suprise. Here's hoping that he shows up tomorrow.
Anyways time for class and Nichelle needs her computer back.

BBQ's and summer movies

Last night I had the BBQ at my house. Even though the weather was crappy it was a great time. Meg and the dog she is sitting came, Lisa H and her friend Karen, Lis, Jon, and Lukey, and Sarah. Laura and Ryan came as well.
When Jon and Ryan got here they went out in the shed and BBQ'd the hamburgers. I decide when I was going to have everyone down that it would be a hamburger party. I supplied the burgers and fixin's and the gang would bring everything else. It was shades of Meg's dinner instead of pasta we had an overload of cookies.
We all sat around the table eating and talking it was great. I really should have them down more often.
Today mom and I went to the mall as I had to pick up my Harry Potter book and we went to the movie License to Wed.....so funny I heart Robin Williams. It was a great movie that had lots of laughs....a good weekend movie. Then we walked around the mall and went to Fog City for supper which was yummy as usual.
I hope that everyone who came last night had a good time and go see the movie.

First meetings

In a couple of posts ago I mention that Jonathan (the guy) emailed me (finally) about meeting, anyways I just got home from meeting the guy, so I thought that I would do a post about it. We went to Chapters/Starbucks (my choice). I got a coffee and we sat down to talk.
First opinion was that he was cute and tall. I also thought about running my hands though his hair. I didn't get that weak in the knees feeling but I wasn't thinking get me out of here. We talked a lot about a lot of different things. He is very much into politics and issues that are in the news today. I found the talk of politics a little dull but then I don't follow that much and I'm sure if I started rambling on about hockey or sound equipment he would feel the same way. We walked around the store talking about what we like to read and the like. At one point I was saying that I talk a lot and he said that he liked listening to me, I thought that was good as to me it meant that he like what I was talking about. He did talk as well but as I feel in most situations, I am talking to much (we all know I do love to talk).
The store closed so we left he said that he was up for going somewhere else but where I have to work in the morning I said that I should go home. That led to talking by my car for about 30 minutes.
Another thing he told me before he left was that I reminded him of a friends girlfriend that he once had a crush on.....I think this was good as he was like this is in your favor.
Over all I had a good time no weak in the knees but when he hug me it did feel good. Who knows where this may go I'm just going to take it one day at a time. But stupid me forgot to ask if he was single.....

I'm NOT HOMELESS...in the fall

I guess by the title you can guess what the post is about. I got the call this week letting me know that I have a room in a chalet for the fall. WHOOO!!! this takes so much stress and worry off of me. The two best things....I don't have to buy a tent for the first couple of weeks while I was waiting.....and I get a FULL size twin bed.

Lis I am going to listen to you....

As with everyone I had a wicked time last night. It was so good just to munch and talk. We all had different things to say. It was great. I'm sure the next one is going to be just a good.
Now this has to do with the title of the post, when I got home today I checked my gmail as usual and guess what? I had an email from the guy and a notice saying that he had added me to facebook. He said that he hasn't forgotten about me and that he procrastinated longer then he meant to. So Lis I am going to listen to you from now on. I am going to reply to him and see if we can get together soon. I will get you all posted on what happens.
I have started something yesterday at work, during lunch I go for a walk. Just down the road from the building there is a walking trail. Mount Pearl has them everywhere, I walk for a half hour. I am going to walk every lunch that it is not raining. The trail is nice and with my iPod to bop along to very enjoyable.
As you know I have a wedding this summer in August, I was allowed to take a guest and decide that the fairest thing to do is pick from a hat. I figure that way everyone has a chance. Anyways I had to confirm the invite .....the name was picked......Lisa H. This is provided that she is still in Newfoundland on August the 4.
